While GHC has been associated with the Oil and Gas industry largely over 40 years since its inception, it has broadened its operations greatly after becoming a part of the Qatar based GIS. Ad hoc services for short terms also happen to be a part and parcel of the services offered by GHC. The well equipped helicopters numbering almost 50 are used for various operations in and around the Middle East and North Africa. The extent of services provided has grown to encompass India along with Malaysia recently.
 

The helicopters provide support to oil and drilling operations offshore as well as transportation services onshore. Single chartered flights to and fro a particular destination is usually undertaken via a short contract. The safety of the client and experience of the pilot are of utmost importance regardless of the contract duration though.
 

The scope for providing ad hoc short contract services has been enhanced after the incorporation of 18 AgustaWestland AW139 and Bell helicopters in the GHC fleet. Transporting sensitive cargo as well as crew to remote locations remains one of the most popular ad hoc services apart from load lifting especially in the field of civil construction. Executive transportation whether for VIPs or ordinary personnel required to travel to inhospitable terrains is undertaken by GHC as well.
 

The GHC ad hoc services include the prestigious, ‘Helicopter Emergency Medical Services. It is a 'Supreme Council of Health' initiative by the State of Qatar and has benefited people since 2007. GHC is looking forward to expanding its operations although safe service remains its prime objective where the people always come first.
